Good people don’t go to church.

I believe and trust in God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I have a relationship with them and the faith in which I was raised. But the common day church seems so unaccepting. I admit, I haven’t been to or tried different churches in years but from what I can see, nothing has changed. And I’m tired of the church goers acting as if they are held to a higher level in the world because they are “good people.”

Good people don’t go to church. Good people are good people.

There are plenty of people that go to church to save face. To act, to pretend. And that’s what I don’t like. I don’t like the stereotype that I feel I’ve seen my whole life. The church family who is perfectly pressed, whose children are perfect, who’s lives are perfect but they are just as shitty as anyone else in this world. Why act? Why pretend? Church doesn’t make you a good person.
